Dr. Jennifer M. Santiago, DNP, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C

Dr. Santiago is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) since 2018. She is licensed in the state of Connecticut as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

As a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Dr. Santiago specializes in mental health medication management. She is experienced in evidence-based psychopharmacology and works collaboratively with each patient to develop individualized treatment plans focused on symptom improvement, stability, and overall well-being.

Dr. Santiago also works with U.S. military veterans in support of disability evaluations by establishing medical connections to service-related injuries, commonly referred to as “nexus” documentation.

Background

Dr. Santiago is a member of a military family and the spouse of a disabled U.S. Army Veteran. Through personal and professional experience, she understands the challenges associated with mental health conditions and the importance of access to consistent, evidence-based treatment and care.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Dr. Santiago enjoys writing educational content and is the co-author of The Intricate Dance: Women’s Health and Mental Wellbeing. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, children, and dog, Lady Bug.

She is also learning Spanish and enjoys Pilates, meditation, reading, and spending time outdoors.
